Can't believe that after years of struggling as a writer I actually have two books coming out soon! Book number 5 is "Cincinnati Theaters" from Arcadia. I wrote this with my good friend the photographer Doug Weise and an old acquaintance, Phil Lind, who is quite the historian. In May I have a number 6, the book I have been researching and working on for years: "The Cincinnati Courthouse Riot". This one is being released by Pelican, a very prestigious publisher. Plus I have started another Cincinnati history book for yet another publisher, Clerissy. I'm also getting ready to put out an e-book of original ghost stories. I guess Walt Disney was right: if you can dream it, you can do it!

Wild times here! My fourth book, "Cincinnati Under Water: the 1937 Flood," is finally released. This weekend I will be at the prestigious Books by the Banks  event at the Convention Center. Amidst all of this excitement, my son Jordan has gone on yet another overseas adventures. Now he is volunteering in, of all places, Morocco.
At least things are not boring!

The book is finally out! "Art Deco Cincinnati" has hit the shelves, and my co-author Mr. Weise and I have done our first book signing. We even have a website to promote it: www.cincinnati-art-deco.com/.

I should say that (once again) the publisher screwed up my big joke. While showing a photo of the famous Flying Saucer house in Kentucky, my caption was to read: "Their old Kentucky home is the Jupiter 2". Well... they removed 'old', thus killing the Stephen foster reference, and then in parenthesis explained that the Jupiter 2 was from Lost in Space. Jokes are real funny when you explain them! As Dr. Smith would say, "Oh... the pain..."

But the book looks real good and the comments we have received have been very positive.

Great news! My fourth book, Art Deco Cincinnati, has now gone to the printer! I have battled two editors, mostly by surrendering unconditionally. However, for people in the Cincinnati area, there is an incredible vintage photo of the original Frisch's Mainliner restaurant in Fairfax. Arcadia tells me that he release date is July 14th.
The book was co-written with photographer Doug Weise, who also has a Deviantart page and has probably not updated it since the Crimean War. I did the writing, while he and my son Jordan traveled throughout the Cincinnati area taking pics of Art Deco. Believe me- there is plenty of it!
